Commission Work Session

A Commission Work Session will be held Tuesday, December 15 at 2 p.m. in the Aqua Room.

Topic: Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems Policy

The principle purpose of the work session is to allow Commissioners and District employees to communicate with the Board, answer Board questions, and get the Board's opinions and direction regarding the subject topics.

This work session is open to Commissioners, management, District staff members, and the public. It is not the opportunity to give public testimony; however, if the Board members request input from individuals in the audience, those people may speak.

No decisions will be made.

There will be no regularly scheduled Commission meeting at 4:30 p.m.

Waste-Wise Holiday

Festive Tips for a Waste-Wise Holiday! A Skagit Living Green Lecture series.

Starting at 7 p.m., December 3, at Burlington Public Library (820 E. Washington St)

Between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day Americans throw away 25% more trash. Reduce, reuse and rethink your holiday experience in this fun and festive workshop. Maribeth Crandell, city of Oak Harbor Environmental Educator, will offer tips on re-gifting, shopping, decorating and no-waste wrapping. Find a fresh perspective on giving and receiving, while putting more meaning and less waste in your holiday. Enter a raffle to win waste-wise holiday supplies!
