Learn how inviting wildlife to your farm and landscaping with native plants can have many benefits for horse and livestock owners.

horse_greenkeeping.jpgThursday, May 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Padilla Bay Research Reserve/Breazeale Interpretive Center Community Meeting Room (10441 Bayview Edison Road, Mount Vernon).

Learn natural ways to control mud, dust, bugs, and weeds.

Topics will also include:

  • Useful options for environmentally sensitive ways to manage odors;
  • Least toxic weed control;
  • Useful water conservation tips;
  • Building outdoor washracks;
  • How to manage creeks or wetlands on horse/livestock property.

The event is free, however, pre-registration is requested. Please pre-register by May 18.
