Skagit PUD is looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to be part of our water treatment plant team.
The Water Treatment Plant Operator will:
- Operate the treatment facilities to process raw and finished water.
- Observe variations in operating conditions, and interpret instrument readings and test results to determine processing requirements.
- Maintain shift logs and record meter and gauge readings.
- Collect water samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses.
- Maintain the plant’s disinfection feed systems, the plant’s chlorine gas scrubber and emergency electrical generator.
- Perform tasks involved in cleaning filter bays, flocculation basins, backwash recycle basins, sludge lagoons and reservoirs.
- Assist in receiving and unloading of supplies and equipment.
- Perform tasks involved in the maintenance of the facilities and grounds.
